Summer is almost here, and you won’t have Mighty Milers for a few months. Does this mean you should simply stop running over vacation? Of course not! Try running on days when you would do Mighty Milers laps during the school year, or play team sports such as soccer or baseball, which incorporate running. Even playing tag on the playground or at the beach can help you stay fit! Speaking of the beach, is anyone up for a swim? If you have access to a community pool or if you’re near a lake, river, or ocean, swimming is a fun way to get your exercise and a great way to stay cool when the weather is at its hottest – just remember to always have adult supervision at these activities. If you spend just a little time each day playing outside and staying active, you’ll be in good shape when Mighty Milers starts up again in the fall!
