Accomplishments:

• Alice won the 10,000m (6.21 miles) at the 1999 national athletic championships in Kenya at the age of 16.

• She is a two-time Olympian in the 10,000m (6.21 miles) event.

• In 2007, she won silver medals in the Atlanta Journal-Constitution Peachtree Road Race 10K and in the Philadelphia Half-Marathon.

Fun Facts:
• Alice is married to Mark Sinyei, a farmer who spends his days helping her train and tending to his farm.

• She sometimes races barefoot.
