Win $500 for a Fitness Event at your School
There's still time to apply for a grant for your school! If you're short on funds for a fun run, or looking for help providing snacks at a cross country meet, look no further! We are awarding $20,000 in grants this spring to schools and non-profits that organize running and fitness events for their kids. We're celebrating the launch of Events to Run, a new resource on A Running Start with resources and guides to help you stage fun runs, track meets, and more! To enter, fill out this online application form with details about your event and how you would spend the $500 grant. Applications are due Monday, February 13. Click here for details.
Developmental Track & Field Series Returns
If you're looking for a way to introduce your students to track and field, sign up for DTFS! The DOE New York City Developmental Track & Field Series is a free track and field program for kids in grades 3 through 8 in NYC public schools. Zumba Returns to Harlem Children's Zone
Are you ready to Zumba? Harlem Children's Zone hosts free classes for adults on Wednesdays from 7:30 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. and Saturdays from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m. Come 30 minutes early for a free warm-up session from NYRR.
