Gifts of Securities

Donating appreciated securities is an excellent way to make a charitable contribution while also receiving significant savings on your income taxes.

To transfer securities held electronically, please contact NYRR Development Manager, Elizabeth Carr, at ecarr@nyrr.org to inform us of your intention to do so. After doing so, you may call your broker and provide him/her with the following information:

Your broker will then transfer the securities into NYRR’s Youth Programs account. Please note: The value of your gift will be determined on the date the gift is completed and is equal to the average of the high and low of the values traded on that date, per IRS regulations. Please also note the gift is deemed “completed” when the securities have been transferred fully into NYRR’s Youth Programs brokerage account.

Matching Gifts

Many companies will match any charitable donation made by their employees, and your participation in a matching gift program is an excellent way to double the impact of your personal contribution to New York Road Runners Youth Programs.

If your company participates in a matching gift program, please request a matching gift form from your employer and send it via one of the following methods:
